Wellness
Wellness Checks
Talk to a registered nurse about health concerns and issues related to remaining independent as health needs change. The nurse can help with understanding and managing medical diagnoses such as high blood pressure and appropriate diet. The nurse meets with seniors at designated locations on a regular basis such as area churches, senior housing, and community centers. The nurse is available to perform health screening services such as blood pressure and pulse assessments, weigh-ins, giving Vitamin B-12 shots (to those for whom it is prescribed by a doctor) and fasting blood sugar levels. This service is also available at the nurse's office located just down the hall from the 5-5-1 Club & Café community center on the Lyngblomsten campus.
Flu Prevention
We offer annual flu shots because we understand the devastating effects this illness can have on your vitality and health. Flu shots are available on Lyngblomsten's campus, courtesy of Minnesota Visiting Nurses Association, as well as at the sites we visit monthly around the community.
Free with Medicare card or 15 major insurance cards.
